South Shore officials have issued little information and, in fact, has not even told passengers whether trains are running at Dune Park and Points east
My train exploded on my way back to school. The wire carrying 150k volts snapped and slammed the train – there was fire and sparks and smoke engulfing my cabin as we all sprinted to the front of the train. I can only thank God I'm still here tonight. Thought i would share. pic.twitter.com/VvJRKvi4mU

January 15, 2018-A Notre Dame student captured the above footage as passengers were evacuated from a South Shore train just after 11:00 p.m. last night. NICTD officials released the following statement via social media at approximately 4:00 a.m. today:

Due to issues with overhead wire near Dune Park Station, we will be busing passengers for Train 102 between Carroll Ave. and Ogden Dunes on Monday, Jan. 15. All other trains are anticipated to run as normal.
An e-mail simply said that train 104 is delayed 20-30 minutes. That e-mail was received at 5:40 a.m. and no further updates have been received.
And this outfit wants us to support more miles of track to not maintain?
