Hessville Homicide: Hammond Police Seek Info from Public

November 24, 2019-Hammond Police are asking the public for information after a 26 year old woman was shot to death in the parking lot of Coach’s Corner in the 6200 block of Kennedy Avenue. According to a statement, police were summoned to the scene at approximately 1:26 am on November 24. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot and died at the scene. The victim has been identified as 26 year old Katelyn Golden from Hammond according to the report.

Police say the victim was seen arguing with a black male in the parking lot prior to the shooting. No further suspect description was released.

Police are asking anyone who may have information related to the incident to call Hammond police Detective Sgt. Mike Nemcek at (219) 852-2977.
