According to a statement from US Attorney Thomas L. Kirsch “. . .a suitcase containing approximately 11 kilograms of cocaine and 1 kilogram of heroin. . . was discovered by a Hobart Police Officer and his K-9 partner, Mojo.”

May 29, 2019-United States Attorney Thommas L. Kirsch credits the work of a Hobart Poice Officer and his k-9 partner with assisting in an arrest that recently led to a lengthy prison term for a New Jersey man who trafficked drugs through the region. According to US Attorney Kirsch, “Stanford Wylie, age 51, of Palisades Park, NJ, was sentenced before United States District Court Judge Robert L. Miller upon his plea of guilty to possession with the intent to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine, announced U.S. Attorney Kirsch.” Wylie was sentenced to 97 months in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
US Attorney Kirsch said the discovery of 11 kilograms of cocaine and 1 kilogram of heroin was made by a Hobart Police Officer and his K9 partner Mojo. Law enforcement officals later learned that Mr. Wylie made numerous cross-country trips transporting controlled substances and currency between Los Angeles, California and New Jersey.
