Two Chicago Police Officers Fatally Struck by South Shore Train

December 17, 2018-Chicago Police have confirmed that two officers that were struck by a South Shore train have succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident. According to the statement issued via social media, the officers were investigating a shots fired call when they were struck by a passing train at 103rd and Cottage Grove.

The officers have not yet been identified.  We will continue to update this story as additional details become available.
