BREAKING: Robertsdale 7-11 Robbed at Gunpoint

June 27, 2018-Hammond Police were called to 7-11, 2047 Calumet Avenue in the Robertsdale section just after 10:30 p.m. on June 26 for a report of an armed robbery.  Hammond Police have not yet issued a report on this breaking story.  According to information derived from the scanner, a black male wearing a mask entered the store and displayed a weapon.  The man demanded cash from the clerk.   The man was described as 6’3″ tall and his vehicle was described as a silver Ford Explorer.  Hammond Police immediately converged on the scene and searched for the suspect.  An arrest was made shortly after the robbery but it is not clear at this point if it was the suspect from the armed robbery.
