Gary Violence Continues as Man Reportedly Shot at J&J Fish

At least nine shot in less than 24 hours in Gary violence surge

June 24, 2018-At approximately 4:35 p.m. today, Gary Police were called to J&J Fish, 2567 Burr Street, Gary, Indiana for a report that a male who had been shot walked in requesting assistance.  The incident was the latest in a violent weekend as Gary Police responded to at least 5 shooting incidents with victims in less than 24 hours.  Numerous other shooting incidents without victims have also been reported.  Gary Police have not issued a statement on the latest shooting.  Information derived from the scanner indicates that a male walked into J&J Fish at approximately 4:35 p.m. with a gunshot wound.  An EMS crew was en route to an automobile accident at the time of the call and reported “we are literally at 25th and Burr at this time.” EMS staged and awaited Police to secure the scene.
The male was transported to a local hospital. Neither the identity nor the condition of the man is known at this time.

  1. And the Mayor of Gary is down in Texas on a publicity stunt about the illegals, instead of dealing with the problems in Gary! What a joke!!
