Lake Station Police Credit Public Help in Armed Robbery Arrest

All criminal suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

April 23, 2018-Lake Station Police are crediting assistance from the public in apprehending an armed robbery suspect and two alleged accomplices. According to a statement from the Lake Station Police Department, Rich’s Gas Station, 4301 Central Avenue Lake Station, was robbed during the early morning hours of April 20. Police quickly circulated surveillance video and still via traditional and social media. The public responded quickly and a suspect was identified and apprehended. The following charges were filed:

Thanks to the help from the public a suspect was identified and subsequently taken into custody. The following charges were filed with the Lake County Prosecutors Office.

Williams Evans – Armed Robbery Level 3 Felony

Christina Harris – Assisting a Criminal Class A Misdemeanor

Patricia Williams – Assisting a Criminal Class A Misdemeanor

All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. A criminal charge is not evidence of guilt.
