Munster Police Seek Assistance Identifying Suspect in String of Armed Robberies

Munster Police have released the photos below and are asking anyone with information is asked to contact Munster Police Detective Tim Nosich at 219-836-6658 or tnosich@munster.org or Hammond Police Detective Stephen Guernsey at 219-852-2978 or sguernsey@hammondpolice.com.  Tipster’s can remain anonymous. 

March 29, 2018-Munster Police and Hammond Police are asking for assistance from the public in identifying and locating the suspect above. According to a statement from Lt. Ed Strbjak of the Munster Police Department, “Detectives believe that the same person is responsible for three armed robberies that occurred in Hammond and Munster, Indiana.  The first robbery occurred on February 3, 2018 at Payless Shoe Source, located at 6702 Indianapolis Boulevard in Hammond, Indiana.  At approximately 7:45 p.m., a Hispanic male, approximately 40-50 years of age, implied he had a gun and demanded money.  The second robbery occurred on February 5, 2018 at Check Into Cash, located at 1812-165th Street in Hammond, Indiana.  At approximately 11:50 a.m., a Hispanic male entered the store and threatened to shoot an employee and demanded money.  The third robbery occurred on March 10, 2018 at Check N Go, located at 320 Ridge Road in Munster, Indiana.  At approximately 11:45 a.m., a Hispanic male, approximately 40-50 years of age, entered the store and displayed a handgun and demanded money.”

The vehicle in the photos above was believed to be used in the robberies. It is an older, 4 door, maroon vehichle, make and model undetermined.
