D&R Construction Company, Inc. bid on $347,950 contract with Gary Housing Authority and admits to placing forged cashier’s checks as surety.

March 23, 2018-According to court Documents, a Gary Contractor has agreed to plead guilty to one count of Counterfeiting Securities of a Private Entity in US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Ashley Dunlap of East Chicago signed a Plea Agreement earlier in the week which will be presented to the Court after a hearing is scheduled. The Court is not a party to the Agreement, which is between the United States Attorney and Dunlap. Dunlap described his conduct as follows in the Plea Agreement:

Dunlap previously entered a guilty plea in Lake Superior Court together with his then partner Alfred Richardson a/k/a Alfred Rodgers. According to the Plea Agreement in that case, Richardson and Dunlap jointly owned Dunlap and Rodgers Disposal a/k/a D&R Disposal a/k/a Ace Enterprises. Officials from the Indiana Department of Management charged that the duo was illegally dumping at a property located at 1015 E. 149th Street, East Chicago. Both Dunlap and Rodgers ultimately pled guilty to 1 felony count as a result of the illegal dumping. D&R Site Services, LLC is now operating on City of Gary property located at 7015 W. 15th Avenue. D&R Site Services is not affiliated with D&R Construction Company, Inc.
