BREAKING: Swat Standoff Ends with 1 Arrest

Police have not yet issued a report, but the arrest is believed to be related to the death of April Lynn Salazar-Bernal earlier today.

March 15, 2018-Lake County Police and SWAT Team Members made entry into a house at 44th and Cleveland in unincorporated Calumet Township moments ago. According to a witness on scene, one man was escorted from the premises in handcuffs. Officers had stood outside the residence since approximately 6:30 p.m. tonight. Just before 8:30 p.m. SWAT deployed flash grenades and entered the home.

  1. Sadly, trying to help is sometimes “interfering” with law enforcement doing their investigation. That’s why they ask you to stay back let them do their job. I feel for the man, he had to be completely destroyed. I can not even imagine the pain and anger. I do not think they should have arrested him, but that my opinion. It doesn’t count for much… My condolences to the family and friends who are suffering this loss. My prayers for God to cradle them in his arms and angels surround them for strength as more information comes out.

      • Yeah you only know what’s printed, sad you are the type that believes bullshit over truth, so if cops were threats were to shoot your kid you would do nothing, what ever,

      • Just ran across this publication. The property the police were on was owned by the the father Greg Traicoff. He was walking thru the woods to get to the house since they had the road blocked off & the SWAT stopped him saying they are going to be using be using “Lethal Force” to obtain the fugitive, not knowing that was his son. As a father, he did what he had to in order to save his son from being shot the minute he surrendered. Such a sad situation for all those involved..
