Valparaiso Police Seek Assistance in Search for Missing, Disabled Adult

Police are seeking assistance from the public. “Gildersleeve maintains his own residence with assistance/care from Porter Starke Services and requires daily medications” Valparaiso Police Department

December 31, 2017-Valparaiso Police are searching for a man who went missing on Saturday December 30, 2017. According to an alert, Early this morning (12/31) police were called to the 2100 block of Valparaiso St for a male subject that was missing. Porter Starke Service’s personnel called police when Donald Gildersleeve, 59 yrs old did not returned home. Gildersleeve was last seen at the Porter Starke Offices on Wall St at 10am on Saturday December 30th.

Gildersleeve maintains his own residence with assistance/care from Porter Starke Services and requires daily medications.

Glidersleeve is believed to be on foot or on a bicycle and is described as a white male, 6’0’’/ 210 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He also has a beard. A photo is attached to this release.

Police and Porter Starke personnel have searched nearby businesses and other locations with negative results. He has been entered into the state’s computer system as a missing person.

Police are seeking assistance from the public to help locate Donald Gildersleeve. If you observe him or possibly have observed him recently please contact the Valparaiso Police Department by dialing 911 or text a tip to TIP411 (847-411) and enter “Valpo” as the first word in the message field prior to sending the tip.
