November 27, 2017-Lifelong Hammond resident David Innes has been appointed to the Lake County Liquor Board. Gazette readers may know Dave from his frequent appearances on WJOB and his activities as a wrestling referee. David is active with ARW Pro Wrestling. Dave has also been a group leader for Hammond Crime Watch for the last 8 years. Lake County Councilman David Hamm appointed Innes to the position.

“I believe Dave will be a tremendous asset to the Liquor Board,” stated Mayor McDermott. “He cares deeply about Hammond.”

“I am honored to serve on the Liquor Board,” state Mr. Innes. “In all my adult years, I have always tried to be positive of the City I call home.”

    Hmmm, another yes man appointed to a critical board. Does Dave have a lot of experience with liquor? It appears he has lots of practice with liquor.

    I guess years of saying yes pays off.
