September 22, 2017-Indiana University Northwest will host a workshop for 21st Century Scholars from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the Theater at the Arts & Sciences Building.
The workshop is an opportunity for current 9th -12th grade 21st Century Scholars to get assistance with completing their Scholar Success Program (SSP). Successfully completing the SSP and tracking their progress through the ScholarTrack online tool is mandatory for students to receive a 21st Century Scholarship.
At the event, advisors will provide scholars with information and resources to help them understand and complete the 21st Century Scholarship program. Students can also tour the IU Northwest campus and learn about the

* Meeting 21st Century Scholar Program and SSP requirements
* Understanding income eligibility guidelines
* Learning about careers and exploring career-ready websites
* Understanding financial aid
* Navigating the college application process
* Maintaining scholarship eligibility in college
* Tips for college success
21st Century Scholars are first generation college hopefuls who promise in the seventh or eighth grade to maintain a C average and be good citizens throughout high school. If they fulfill that promise, the state will pay 100
percent of their tuition and mandatory fees at an Indiana college, but in order to collect the maximum tuition benefit, they must meet certain income requirements and finish their undergraduate degree in four years.
