Police Searching for Disabled Child

September 2, 2017-Anthony Mitchell, a child with a cognitive disability, is 3’5″ tall wearing gray pajama pants and a dark blue tee shirt. He is a 9 yr old African American male with a light complexion. Anthony left his home in the 100 blk of Ruth St. (Located between State Line and Hohman Aves).

Police officers from several agencies are out actively searching for him including K9 Units and a Lake County Sheriff’s Helicopter.

Anyone that believes they have seen Anthony or knows where he is should contact the Hammond Police Department immediately by calling 911. If you are in Illinois please call 219-660-0000.
