See the happy update” Lexi is Home Safely After Rescue by State Trooper

May 17, 2017-Trooper Corey Adam rescued a friendly pit bull mix yesterday that was running in traffic on the ramp from Calumet Avenue to I-80 west bound.

Yesterday, evening Trooper Corey Adam found a white female pit bull mix that was in the roadway on Calumet Avenue northbound to I-80 west bound ramp. Adam had to block traffic as he coaxed the dog to come up to him. The dog was friendly, but scared, and Adam was able to get the dog out of the roadway. Another Good Samaritan stopped and held the dog so Trooper Adam could reopen the ramp to traffic. The female was placed in the front seat of Adam’s police car;

The dog had no tags or identifying information on it and was turned over to the Hammond Animal Control.

Please contact the Hammond Animal Control if you have any information on the owner of this animal.

    AT APPROXIMATELY 11 AM YESTERDAY, LEXI WAS MURDERED BY HAMMOND POLICE DETECTIVE DANIEL SMALL. THIS DOG WAS SUPER SWEET, KIND AND WILL BE LOVED AND MISSED DEARLY BY ALL OF US. WE HOPE THAT JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED, POLICE OFFICERS THIS TRIGGER HAPPY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A PISTOL LET ALONE “PROTECT” CITIZENS WHEN HE IS IN FEAR FOR HIS LIFE FROM A 28 LB PREGNANT DOG. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, HE ALONG WITH HIS FELLOW OFFICERS STOOD AROUND FOR FORTY FIVE MINUTES WHILE LEXI WAS ALIVE, BLEEDING EVERYWHERE, AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NO MEDICAL ATTENTION EVEN THOUGH HAMMOND ANIMAL CONTROL WAS ON THE SCENE. TAKE A STAND. HAMMOND POLICE OFFICERS ARE TRIGGER HAPPY. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST INCIDENT NOR THE LAST.

    Horrific. Worst of the worst. What an absolutely un-human creature, this “detective”.
