Gary Police Seek Assistance Locating Burglary/Firearm Theft Suspects

May 1, 2017-Gary Police have secured charges against to men who they say robbed a house and stole a firearm, among other items. According to Lt. Dawn Westerfield, “etective Sergeant Mario Gonzalez secured charges against Cory L Anderson 27 of Gary
and Travis T Jones 25 of Gary. The charges stem from an April 19, 2017 incident in the 1000 block of East 36th Avenue. During the incident Anderson and Jones forcibly entered a residence and burglarized it taking multiple items including a handgun.” Police say Cory L. Anderson also has a prior outstanding warrant for burglary.

Cory L Anderson and Travis T Jones are both charged with Burglary, Theft of a Firearm and Theft. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cory L Anderson or Travis T Jones is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Mario Gonzalez at 219-881-4743 or the Crime Tip Line at 866-CRIME-GP.
