Police have a juvenile person of interest in custody but seek additional information, urge residents to be vigilant in reporting any suspicious activity
April 25, 2017-The Hammond Police Dept. in cooperation with the Hammond Fire Dept. is investigating a string of arsons that occurred between 4/24/17 at approx. 4:15 am and 4/25/17 at approx.. 5:30 am in the Robertsdale area of Hammond. One fire was set to an abandoned home and the others to either a garage or trash cans. The Hammond Police
Dept. has a juvenile person of interest in custody at this time but the investigation is still on going. No charges have been filed on this or any other person at this time. The Hammond Police Dept. has increased patrols in the
Robertsdale area to include foot patrols as well.
