Munster Seeks Assistance Locating Man Who Stole Purse From Monastery

April 12, 2017-Munster Police are asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect in the photos above. According to Lt. Ed Strbjak of the Munster Police Department, “At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 a white male walked into the chapel of the Carmelite Fathers Monastery which is located in 1600 block of Ridge Road. After a short period of time the suspect grabbed the purse of an elderly woman who was in the chapel praying. The suspect then fled the area.  The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid-20’s, 5’ 10”, 150 pounds with tattoos possibly on his hands.”
