Hammond Police Seek Information Regarding Flick’s Shooting

Police believe the incident may be related to an earlier fight that occurred in the bar. Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Lieutenant Mark Tharp at 852-2988 or Detective Sergeant Richard Tumidulsky at 852-2997.

March 25, 2017-Hammond Police are seeking information from anyone who may have information regarding a shooting that occurred at Flick’s Tequila Bar, 6205 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond at approximately 1:30 a.m. today. According to a report from Lt. Steven Kellogg of the Hammond Police Department, at approximately 1:30 a.m. “an unknown subject approached Flick’s tavern located at 6205 Kennedy Ave.” The subject fired into the bar, striking three* individuals. “An East Chicago man age 30, an East Chicago man age 27, and a Hobart man age 51 were struck.
Conditions of the victims are unknown at this time” the report continues. Witnesses to the incident described an earlier altercation at the bar and Police believe that altercation may be related to the shooting. The three victims of the brazen shooting were not involved in the prior altercation according to the statement.
