Man Transported to Hospital After Being Shot in Gary

March 18, 2017-Gary Police are investigating after a man was shot in the back and arm in the 2100 block of Carolina Street yesterday afternoon. According to a report from Lt. Thomas Pawlak, officers were dispatched to the area 2100 Carolina at approximately 4:7 p.m. on March 17 for a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a black male lying face down with gunshot wounds to his left arm and back. The victim was later identified as 27 year old Thomas Williams of Gary. Williams was transported by Gary Fire Department to Methodist Hospital Northlake. No further information was available regarding Mr. Williams condition.
