St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Applications Accepted for St. Patrick’s Day Parade Entries and Food Vendors

ST PATTYS shamrock Crown Point… Mayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is planning for the biggest event of the year on Monday, March 17, 2013. The sixth annual nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade will commence; featuring emergency vehicles, lit entries, Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums, Lake County Pipes and Drums, Grand Marshall Mayor David D. F. Uran, the Junior Grand Marshall Event Logo Contest Winner and much more.Celebration festivities begin on the historic Crown Point Courthouse Square prior to the parade start at dusk.  Vendors will be selling items on the South side of the Courthouse Square such as concessions, parade novelties, traditional Irish heritage items, jewelry, glow sticks and festive Irish themed items beginning at 3pm.he parade will commence during snow, rain or shine on S Main Street around the square.  The Mayor’s Office of Special Events is now accepting applications for both parade entries and food vendors.Applications are available at www.crownpoint.in.gov

  • Don’t forget to stop by Matey’s Irish Pub & Grill located 419 N Grant St, the only Irish pub in Crown Point. Great drink specials, Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, DJ, Lake County Pipes & Drums at 3pm on the 17th and again in the evening after the parade (9pm-10:30pmish) Come out and get your Irish on.
